Time to combine exercise of the body and the mind at the same time! You will get 5 miles of walking (jogging if you like) as well as 5 miles of Detroit history!

Early Detroit Sites, The Underground Railroad, Black Bottom, Paradise Valley, and MORE!

Visit the site of the Black Business Empire in Detroit.

And the homesite of the first Black teacher in Detroit!

And the birthplace of the Black community!

We Meet at Campus Martius Park next to the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument. Have your running shoes on, or your comfortable walking shoes, and bring your water bottle.

$30 per person; $25 for ages 10-15, FREE for children 9 yrs and younger.


What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Suggested Parking — Compuware Parking Lot ($15-$20)
EZ Parking Lot (outside next to Campus Martius -$10)
Cadillac Square Parking Lot ($10)

However, if you know of a free or less expensive parking spot, please choose it. Meters are good for 2 hours.

Street Parking is FREE on Sundays.
