From August 10th through 12th, The Caribbean Cultural and Carnival Organization will present the annual Caribbean Cultural Festival. The fun and family weekend kicks off with the 2018 Miss Carival Pageant at the luxurious Arab American National Museum on Friday August 10th from 7 PM until 11PM. This event highlights our youngsters in pageantry, steel pan and a costume flair.
August 11th and 12th New Center Park comes alive with pulsating Caribbean rhythms of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Salsa, Compa and Zouk. This year we are featuring the beautiful countries of Grenada and St. Vincent & the Grenadines. CCCO brings the musical essence of the Caribbean to Detroit with amazing Live performances featuring local, national and international artists, bands and dance groups. This year’s headliners are the dynamic Soca artist Shurwayne Winchester and the conscious and energetic reggae star Warrior King.
When you get hungry and thirsty, to the rescue will be authentic and finger licking Caribbean foods and soothing Homemade Caribbean Beverages. This year’s theme is Caribbean Pride. Come taste and embrace and lose yourself to a wonderful time. It’s a family affair where love, excitement and fun pervade the atmosphere as the Caribbean Pride takes over Mid-Town.
