Four Miles of Fortune! Black History & Wealth in Boston-Edison

9405 John R Street, Detroit, Michigan 48202
The land that is now Boston–Edison Historic District was once owned by John R. Williams, the Detroit slaveowner and namesake of the street, «John R.»,

One of its earliest residents was Henry Ford, the founder of Ford Motor Company.
Despite that history, successful African American businessmen and women, celebrities, politiicians, doctors, lawyers, preachers and crooks have lived in this mansion district and many STILL DO!
Please join Black Scroll Network History & Tours historian Jamon Jordan on a tour that will take you through the history of Paradise Valley businessmen, to Motown icons, to Gospel Greats and Prosperity Preachers!
We Meet at Know Allegiance Nation (KAN Books) in the North End. This co-op bookstore is a gem in our city, and would benefit from our support.
This tour is 4 miles. Please bring water, comfortable clothing and shoes and a pleasant attitude.
Don't worry if you can't do the whole tour. Each mile is filled with history!
