Author Neil Lehto will discuss his recent book on Detroit's streetcars. This is the story of the Thirty-Year War waged by the City of Detroit against its street railway companies between 1892 and 1922. It is based on first-hand accounts, biographies, and contemporary newspaper and magazine articles, as well as state corporate, Detroit Common Council, and other historical records. All of the characters are real and all of their dialogue with each other is drawn from these sources.
