After more than a decade spent building an enviable reputation for herself in the clubs of Paris,
Jennifer Cardini has become an international concern. Her infectious charisma and versatility behind the decks has led to invitations to play at such famed nightspots as Panorama Bar, Nitsa, and Fabric, and with her creative platform and label Correspondant very much on the ascent, her standing as a
tastemaker is as prominent as ever.
Monty Luke is a part of Detroit 3.0, an evolution of the “New Detroit” that includes the world of electronic music. It’s a step forward in cultural wave Monty helped shape since moving there in 2008 to work with Carl Craig, before he later formed his own Detroit-based label Black Catalogue.
Monty’s devout interest in the connection between outer space, music, futurism and Detroit fuses together the overall product: an audio astronaut who pushes his intergalactic sound through Detroit 3.0, and in the coming years, Detroit 4.0 (then hopefully Mars). Monty is constantly adjusting the frequency, staying in tune with an ever-evolving city.
Holographic is a one-woman funk machine born and raised on Detroit Music. Her mission is to serve a mix of musical cuisine that contains consuming house beats, passionate R&B, and unreserved nu-disco. Join her as she concocts her next rhythmic dish.
Since arriving in the Detroit music and party scene, Tylr has begun to leave an original and lasting mark as both a DJ and a promoter.
A transplant from Toledo, Tylr has spent the last 8 years in Detroit soaking up the unique and diverse culture of the city. With this influence and his innate talent, he mixes a far ranging set that pulls the strings of nostalgia fluidly combined with modern Detroit beats.
RJ Stefanski [extended ambient set]
Returning to Detroit for an extended set, Stefanski is sure to bring a diverse selection of classic and contemporary ambient and downtempo. Hours of field recordings taken from his first 11 months in NYC will be edited together with other found sounds into an evolving tapestry tucked into the back of the mix. While the track selection may vary drastically in genre, mood and speed — expect an immersive and psychedelic experience from start to finish.
