*******************THIS IS A SUPPORT GROUP*******************
Every 1st & 3rd Monday Women of Color gather at Sweet Potato Sensations for a group session on «Where do Black Women go to Grieve?» We cry, we chat, we pass tissue boxes, we eat sweet potato pie & twizlers, we tell very personal stories in hopes of finding healing...in hopes of helping another sista who is listening find healing...in hopes of letting someone else know they are not alone...and to just hear our own story being told. We have lost, husbands, mothers, fathers, grandparents, daughters, sisters, sons, aunts & uncles, God parents, friends and neighbors in some of the most horrific ways...but we are still here! Grieving is a natural part of ones life cycle. Lets heal together…
This week we are happy to have Patrece M. Lucas, MS LLPC Counselor of Coffee with a Counselor and Indigo Transitions, PLLC joining us as our licensed mental health professional on board with Good Grief Detroit's Where do Black Women go to Grieve? #goodgriefdetroit #coffeewithacounselor #grief #grieving #loss #death #dying #sayfreeyah #inyourhonor #honoryourancestors #youngwidow #widow #healing #supportgroup #detroit #blackwomen
