The 35th annual African World Festival brings over 150,000 attendees to the grounds of The Wright Museum. This FREE 3-day festival is for the entire family and features performances, poetry, arts and crafts, African drumming and dance, hundreds of vendors, ethnic foods, and events for all ages!

PARKING
Due to size and staging requirements for the festival, free parking is NOT provided. Public transit options include QLINE Detroit, MoGo Detroit, DDOT public bus system, or bike over to The Wright and utilize our Bike Valet at the Scarab Club. The following are suggested parking options.

Cultural Center Parking Lot
Entrance on John R Street (Located immediately behind The Wright Museum.
Cost $7 per vehicle.

WSU Welcome Center Garage (Structure #6)
located at Cass and Putnam at Warren
Cost $8.50

WSU Rackham (Structure #3)
45 E. Warren at Woodward
Cost: $6.50
Park Shelton Garage 15 E. Kirby (entrance on Woodward)
Cost: $3 / 1 hour; $5 additional hour
