This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the 1967 Detroit Rebellion. Repair the World, Detroit Jews for Justice, The Well, Isaac Agree Downtown Synogague and the Breaking Our Silence initiative of the James and Grace Lee Boggs Center to Nurture Community Leadership are excited to host a two part storytelling series.
June 28th we will continue the conversation with first hand stories from multiple community members and their experiences around 1967. We will also demonstrate what a constructive conversation at home can look like, promoting healthy dialogue between generations of metro-Detroit residents, their families that grew up in Detroit proper, and the generations who never left.
